Nexnet offers a process that directly and immediately connects the television with the Internet through the PEARL system - using the viewer’s existing digital set-top box.

Viewers simply “click” their remote control when our small, on-screen PEARL icon appears, and the URL to the exact web page of the advertiser’s product is instantly e-mailed to them from this "PEARLED Ad". This is done on-screen, without program diversion or interruption, as the PEARL tag is embedded in the digital broadcast content.

Advertisers do not have to create new material, and there is no additional cost to the viewer. PEARL thus provides viewers a simple, immediate, and intuitive way to get the information they want.
